In the Tall Grass

Photography and the Simple Life.

About October 15, 2009

I’m Coty, the name behind Coty Jones Photography.  I guess if I ever get married one day I’ll have to change my business name!  But for now, I’m the lady with the mermaid hair behind the camera outside somewhere, most likely overboard.

After graduating high school I left the tall grass to take off for Washington D.C. in a little red car.  I pursued my love for art and photography in a place that I knew nothing about.  Confused expressions ran across people’s faces when I would open a door for them or say “thank you”.  Four years later and a B.F.A in Fine Art Photography from the Corcoran College of Art + Design, I returned back to my tall grass.

Now I own a small photography business, “Coty Jones Photography”, and cater to whomever’s photography needs whether it be weddings or portraits, I am there.  I love to create through photography, cooking, crocheting, or book binding (pretty much anything I can get my paws on), I am always looking for new and better ideas.  Being able to create is what keeps me happy … nobody likes an unhappy person!

So, put on something nice, bring a pet, another person or whatever floats your boat (you could bring one of those too if you like), crack a smile and lets get to shooting!
